Time Entry System
Wire framing and Rapid Prototyping
In 2009 I was asked to go on-site in Seattle and work with a client on designing a customized time entry system. This was required due to the nature of the various types of time that needed to be reported. We discovered that there were approximately 12 variations of personas that would need to report time in specific ways and we had to account for the laws regarding employee time entry for various states including California. This required many iterations of wire frames over the course of project as these screens were to mimic our portal and show the integration of this functionality and all of the subsequent screens throughout the desired interactions. It was fun to work the client as we honed in on our solution. The paper prototypes were a hit in user testing with minimal changes needed.
